The Revenue Engine Audit
A five-point diagnostic of your revenue operation. In two to three weeks you get a scored scorecard, a prioritized fix plan, and a live readout, so you know exactly which few things are quietly costing you predictable revenue, and what to do first.
The problem
Most revenue misses are not caused by the market. They are caused by a handful of quiet failures inside the engine: a forecast nobody trusts, a CRM slowly rotting underneath it, reporting that looks busy but changes no decisions, and a pipeline that is part fiction. Each one is survivable alone. Together they compound into a number you cannot rely on and a team arguing about whose report is right.
The hard part is that none of these announce themselves. They hide in plain sight, and buying another tool does not fix them. Naming the weak links does.
What the audit is
A fixed-scope diagnostic across the five dimensions that most determine whether your revenue is predictable:
CRM data hygiene
Every downstream number inherits the quality of the records underneath it. I check completeness, freshness, duplicates, ownership, and whether the economic buyer is even in the system.
Operational design and bottlenecks
Broken process is a tax on every deal. I check approval workflows, quote-to-cash cycle time, the handoffs where deals actually stall, and the exception volume that tells you where the design failed.
Single source of truth
If every region counts pipeline and forecast differently, leadership argues about whose number is right instead of what to do. I check metric definitions, stage meanings, ownership, and reconciliation.
Reporting that drives action
A dashboard that does not change a decision is decoration. I check whether each report maps to a decision and an action, and whether anyone actually opens it.
Pipeline quality
Forecast accuracy is downstream of pipeline reality. I check for fluff, sandbagging, and unqualified commits, mapped to MEDDPICC. This is usually the root cause of the forecast and reporting problems above.
What you get
Who it is for
Revenue leaders at growth-stage B2B companies (roughly Series A to C, often multi-region) where the forecast is not trusted, the CRM is messy, and the reporting does not drive action. If you are a CRO, VP of Sales, VP of RevOps, or a founder still owning the number, and you suspect the engine underneath your team is the problem, this is built for you.
Who delivers it
Michael Inghilterra. I have spent my career in revenue operations and analytics, most recently owning reporting for the better part of a billion dollars in revenue at one of the largest cybersecurity software companies in the world. I have also led sales development for about seven years. I have seen these five failures from the inside, at scale, and I know which ones are worth fixing first.
How it works
Where it leads
The audit is the diagnosis. Implementation is where the value shows up on the number. Ways to take it forward:
You are not committing to any of that by starting with the audit. Most engagements grow out of the audit naturally, once you can see what the fixes are worth.
